Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda (HLT60707)
This qualification covers the skills needed to work as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and offer remedial treatments including Ayurvedic Herbal Medicine, Ayurvedic Massage and Ayurvedic Nutrition advice.
Pre-requisite study: Students must complete the Certificate IV in Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation (HLT41207) to be eligible for enrollment. However, students with other qualificataions in Ayurvedic study may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning to assess their eligibility.
Duration: 18 months (part time) consisting of:

One weekend seminar at Brisbane Centre

Video conference – twice a week

First year - Fifteen day in-house practical training (Auckland Centre)
- Second year - Fifteen day in-house practical training (Auckland Centre)

- Herbology - Definition of 50 herb groups according to Charka
- Pharmacology – Preparation of Churnas, Vatis, Asavs, Bhasmas, Avaleh & Taila
- Pathology – Broader range of disease pathology & treatment
- Psychology & Counselling - Understanding of Antahkatana and its treatment
- Gynecology & Obstetrics - Diagnosis & treatment of common women's ailments
- Paediatrics – Diagnosis & treatment of common children's diseases
- Clinical diagnosis – Advanced Pulse & Tongue diagnosis and Eye examination
- Advanced Bodywork - Udwartanam, Navar Kizzi & Kizzli Massage,Sychronised Massage, Nasya, Nadi Swedana, Ayurvedic Chakra Vibrational Healing, Takra Dhara & Netra Basti
- Advanced Ayurvedic cooking
